ARTISLA: Connect With The World Of Art

While I was in Madrid last month I received an email asking if I’d be interested in becoming a new artist with an up and coming artists platform called ARTISLA. The website features a selection of interdisciplinary artists from around the world and provides an international platform for young artists to show and sell their artworks (at no cost). It also provides art lovers with a place to find and buy the highest quality artwork from emerging artists at affordable prices as well as give them the chance to discover new artists, understand, meet, and discuss with them.

The first month of this new decade certainly hasn’t disappointed in terms of eventful experiences in both my personal and work-related life. I’ve been asked to teach and mentor a further eighteen sessions of workshops, lectures and assignments with BA (Hons) Photography students at the Media Factory in Preston and I’ve also been busy at work on a new photography project for my photography residency. Earlier this week I attended the preview night of the Sony World Photography Awards 2009 exhibition at Art Work Space in London. There were over 700 guests (including VIPs, Photographers and Press) and it was simply a fantastic night that I shall never forget. The exhibition toured some of the most famous cities in the world during 2009 and it was wonderful to finally see my own work featured as part of this exciting and thought-provoking photography exhibition.
