Last month I was contacted by Coast Magazine’s picture editor Suzy Koo about featuring one of my photographs from the Starlings Above series in the October 2010 edition of the magazine.
Each month, Coast Magazine run a photography feature that showcases the work of a different photographer and I was truly delighted to be asked.
I sent over a couple of photographs from the series to Suzy and her editor Clare Gogerty and they decided to feature my photograph of starlings flocking around Central Pier’s Big Wheel in Blackpool. As you can see in the photograph above, the image runs full bleed over a double page spread and includes a short biography on the story behind the image and a link to my photography website.
It’s always a wonderful feeling to see my work in print and I’ll certainly treasure my copy of the magazine.
As a matter of interest, there is an interview with Clare Gogerty (editor of Coast Magazine) on the Professional Photographer website where she offers plenty of great advice for photographers. There are some fantastic images and articles featured on the pages of Coast magazine, so if you’d like some coastal inspiration be sure to head down to your local Newsagent to grab yourself a copy.
