BLESMA Residents

Monochrome portrait of BLESMA resident Christina Ramsden

I’m so pleased to share this selection of monochrome portraits that I recently took for a new documentary photography series at BLESMA (British Limbless Ex Service Men’s Association) in Blackpool.

BLESMA is a national charity for limbless serving and ex service men and women and their dependants and widows. I often pass-by BLESMA on my way to work and I thought it’d be great to shoot a photography project there.

It’s important to be reminded of these people in our society and to celebrate who they are and what they represent.
